  This department supports four geographically assigned units of Parole Officers to provide general supervision services to offenders who reside in Montgomery County. General supervision involves the PO meeting and counseling with offenders in a variety of settings including the probation office, the offender’s home and various community settings.As part of the supervision, the PO assesses offender risk and needs, determines the level of supervision and recommends placement in the appropriate rehabilitative programs when referrals are deemed necessary. In the event of an offender violating the conditions of probation or parole, the PO will prepare a case to return the offender to court for violation proceedings.
